Still in the pre-production stage, but this Nimble machine looks like it has a lot of promise. Essentially, it’s a robot that will paint your nails. It’s a cube, about a foot square, that uses 3-D mapping technology to paint nails “flawlessly,” according to the manufacturer. The product is listed on Kickstarter, and consumers can buy in now with a $229 investment, which includes one set of polish. According to the website, construction is set to begin this summer, and the product will be to market in January 2022.

Color us surprised, but these supernatural romance books by K.E. Breene have us … hooked! She has about eight series of books out there right now (they read more like serials, though, in that they track the same characters throughout). Two favorites are the Demigods of San Francisco and Leveling Up. It’s light fare, and funny, but with well-developed characters and editing and some steamy stuff, too. The books have plenty of detail about the “real abilities” of necromancers, beserkers and gargoyles. Read most of them for free with a subscription to Amazon Prime.

Luke Bryan’s seventh album makes plenty of room for pop-informed bite in tracks like “What She Wants Tonight”  and “One Margarita,” but he’s also focused on slightly more seasoned vantage points like “Where Are We Goin.’” Bryan elevates a simple country sentiment that he’s threaded through his work  — finding meaning in small-town stability — to the level of grand gesture.
