A group of community residents teamed up with Shoreline Restoration Services, I.CARE and founders Mike Goldberg and Kylie Smith, as well as Coastal Waters Revitalization Inc. for a shoreline cleanup on the oceanside, off the Old Highway in Islamorada, on April 18.
A debris pickup to celebrate Earth Day, the group collected a ton of debris during the morning at the village preserve at MM 86. Buckets for the cleanup were provided by Islamorada Pool Company.

Welcome to your Florida Keys dive report. This last week, the seas were a bit angry, and conditions were rough. The dives themselves, however, were fantastic.

On Friday, Islamorada Dive Center held our Shark Awareness Dives. Nicole and Matthew Mcaleer not only swam with the sharks, but also earned new certifications at the same time ? congratulations!
On Saturday, we had the “Old Boys Dive Club” join us for a double dip on the wreck of the Duane. John El Koury, Scott Black and Marvin Chanes came aboard to enjoy what Mother Nature had in store for us.

Easter Sunday looked a little different at Key Dives. The crew and community of divers all pitched in for another Trash Trek. These dives are a shop specialty, where participants help remove trash from local reefs while enjoying their beauty. Everyone is invested in the health of the oceans and has the opportunity to help with their own two hands.
On the holiday morning, the dive boat was dedicated to a full-day trip. Everyone was eager and on board to dive with a purpose. Their targets were Bishop, Crater and Mosh Pit reefs in Islamorada.
