A group of Keys visitors took paint brush to canvas as they readied themselves for an Easter masterpiece of epic proportions. A special holiday-themed “paint and sip” at Baker’s Cay on March 25 saw roughly 20 people painting and an island Easter-themed painting with palm trees, the true blue and some bunny tracks with a bag of eggs. Leading the painting event was local artist Brittany Parker.

Upper Keys congregations gathered for the annual Good Friday cross walk on the morning of Friday, April 2. Following a prayer, a group departed from Spirit and Truth Ministries in Tavernier where Pastor Marlin Simon led the way. The walk headed north along U.S. 1 to Tavernier Towne and back to the church where a service followed. This was Simon’s 35th cross walk. Two wooden crosses, one weighing 57 pounds and the other 25 pounds, were carried by various individuals during the walk. #tdi_1_755 .td-doubleSlider-2 .td-item1 { background: url(https://keysweekly.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Crosses-80×60.jpg)...
